Aunty Luan

Be Still (Posted by Aunty Dolly, December 29th, on http://www.chrisluan.blogspot.com/)

It has been just over a week now that Luan has been home. The medical team from Hospice visits every day to administer palliative care and monitor the situation. More fistulas have appeared. Due to her excruciating pain, a high dosage of morphine has to be given. Her stomach has not been able to absorb the nutrients the last two days.

We thank the Lord for a good night nurse and nurse friend who have helped relieve the family. Many relatives and friends from far and near have visited and prayed. Chris is thankful for all your support.

Yet at this time Chris reminded the church that whatever the outcome, to remember that “God is sovereign. He is still good and He knows what is best and nothing can separate us from His love. Let us continue to be faithful to the Lord Who will work all things together for good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Should the Lord choose to take Luan home, it is not death but will be that the Lord has taken her. I want the church to celebrate His goodness. For me to live is Christ.”

When Chris asked her what she wanted to tell Jesus, she replied, (that I will) stay faithful. Indeed the last few days she expressed that her desire was to be a woman of faith. We indeed praise the Lord for this dear faithful sister in the Lord. What a testimony to Him!

In the words of brother Chris, “It has been a journey of growth for each of us as much as for Luan. You have walked with me but it’s also a journey I have to walk with Luan and then for her to walk by herself. The Lord has prepared me. Thank you for your concern.”

Ps 46:10 Be still and know that I am God.

Blessed 2007

Hello Everybody

Great to have this site up and I hope the "older" ones like me, Uncle Edwin, Aunty Helen, Aunty Emily, etc will try this out as a good form of communication. 2006 has been a very eventful year because I learned so much from work. I love what I do although it can be quite demanding.

2007 will be a year to give back more to the Lord. Everything that I have comes from him. So, everything should go back to him.

To those in college - look forward to a good year of studying in 2007.

Ciao

Blessed Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Hello dearly beloveds,

First of all congrats for the launch ;-) of our gg blog. Thanks to savvy Jia Ling...........
(wooi faster clap lah). Yes its true God has said a whole lot of things to us this year and as Jia Ling said we don't want to let the holidays pass by without meaningful reflection and resolutions for good (sometimes painful....) changes. One thing God has promised...

Jeremiah 29:13 And you shall seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

Let us continue our journey into year 2007 knowiing that our Master, the Lord Jesus is holding us by our hands and helping us to grow more and more mature each day... This poem below is from dayspring blessings e-card, hope that it will bless your heart....

Our lives are the brush, His blood -- the paint, this world -- the canvas, our ministry -- His masterpiece.
Landscape
By Roy Lessin,
Co-founder DaySpring Cards
Your life's like a landscape and God has the brush.
The work is in progress, He's not in a rush.
Each stroke has a purpose, nothing's by chance.
To see all His wisdom takes more than a glance.
Notice the sunbeams that shine on the dew --
Even the clouds can't keep them from view.
Look at the pathway that turns at the hill --
Its course will reveal what's next in His will.
The stream that's flowing with water so blue
Is bringing down blessings meant just for you.
The trees that are planted close to the stream
Will bring forth more fruit than you've ever seen.
The bird in the nest with mouth opened wide
Is just a reminder that God will provide.
Now look at the sheep in the meadow that's near
And notice the Shepherd that keeps them from fear.
He's brought them to pastures which give forth the best,
That cool and refresh, and keep them in rest.
The eagle above, that soars o'er the gale
Is God's way of saying, "My strength will not fail."
That part of the painting which now seems unclear
Will take on new meaning with each passing year.
So trust God to work in His own perfect way
And rejoice in the beauty He's painting today.
And I am sure that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on that day when Christ Jesus comes back again. Philippians 1:6 NLT

Wassup

Hello again...!

I've added links at the side --> for our personal existing blogs (Unc Chris & Aty Luan, Hui En, Chung En, Su Hwei, Su En, Su-Zhen and yours truly)

And I have an idea; its not really necessary.... but I just thought that when a different person posts, we can posts the words in different colors!!! ;P
Okay actually its VERY unnecessary.... since we all would probably sign off with our names...
But.. as you can see, THESE WORDS you see now are in this lavender-ish color, unlike my first post which is a standard white. So... you can use pink or green or anything as long as its a VERY light color.

That's all!!

Oh yea....
There's also a SIGN IN tab --> under links, so that you can go and.... sign in.
You have to sign in from there in order to 'get in' this blog to edit and post. (Its kinda like a backdoor... a 'worker's entrance'... if you know what I mean...)

And a little something to cheer up your day....(Its animated, so click to open a new window so you can read all of them!)
